Woodie M. Morris, age 86, passed away, Sunday, January 26, 2014.


Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home chapel in Floydada. Interment will follow at the Floydada Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.


Woodie was born on November 28, 1927 in Kaufman County, Texas to Frank Lee and Theo (Mitchell) Morris. He was a long time Floydada resident, farmer, and employee of City Electric.


Woodie married Delma Sammann on March 4, 1950 in Clovis, NM. He was a gentle, loving and generous man.


Woodie is survived by his wife; Delma of the home, two sons; Woodie Lynn and wife Annette Morris, Donald Lee and wife Karen Morris, a sister; Lois Nelson, two granddaughters; Kim and Lisa, and 5 great grandkids.


He was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters except Mrs. Nelson of Canton, Texas.
