Little Garnet followed in her father's footsteps becoming a publishing executive living and working in New York City. Suited for the publishing business, Garnet was a raconteur. We remember her entertaining stories about life in New York City, the most interesting of which might be the time she was "almost murdered by a fur coat."
Little Garnet's father died when he was only 40 years old and her mother married a second time, to Henry A. Dodge. They lived in Elizabeth, NJ and there were no children resulting from this marriage. Henry died in 1931 after which big Garnet went to live with little Garnet in New York City where she passed away in 1957.
Little Garnet died on April 11, 1989 in NYC and was cremated. The funeral home scattered her ashes, we do not know where.
