Mr. Mathias was born December 16, 1907 at Mathias, and was a son of the late Charles I. and Clementin Cleaver Mathias.
He died early Thursday at his home.
In July 1948, he married the former Mabel Albrite, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Hensley of Bergton, two sisters, Mrs. Stan Morgan and Miss. Audrie Mathias, both of Oak Ridge, Tenn., two brothers, Dr. J.D. Mathias and Owen Mathias, both of Wardensville, W.Va., and a grandson.
