Helen Frances Clerk Gier, 88, of Sullivan, passed away at 1:55 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 27, 1914 in New Lebanon, she was the daughter of John R. and Martha (Monroe) Clerk.
She was the former owner and operator of Helen's Beauty Mart in Sullivan.
Survivors include, son, John Neal of Carlisle; one brother, John W. Clerk of Evansville; grandson, John Neal of Carlisle and two great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Gier; one son, James Lloyd Neal; her brother, Hugh Clerk Sr.; one sister, Mary Lewellyn.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in New Lebanon with Bill Sam Phegley officiating.
