Alma E. Beechy, 77, of Topeka, IN died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.

Mrs. Beechy was born on June 30, 1936 in Shipshewana, IN to Enos E. and Ida J. (Yoder) Miller; they preceded her in death.

Living her lifetime in LaGrange County, she was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

On December 4, 1958 in Shipshewana, IN she married Daniel D. Beechy; he preceded her in death on June 27, 2004.

Surviving are eight daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda Sue and Alvin Yoder of LaGrange, IN, Irma and Christy, Jr. Knepp of LaGrange, IN, Ida Mae and Leroy Yoder of Topeka, IN, Vera and Toby Yoder of LaGrange, IN, Polly Anna and Vernon Bontrager of Shipshewana, IN, Mary and Phillip Schwartz of Middlebury, IN, Martha and Milton Bontrager of Wolcottville, IN and Fannie and Leroy Yoder of Topeka, IN; five sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Esther Beechy of LaGrange, IN, Ernest and Mary Esther Beechy of Shipshewana, IN, Harley and Linda Beechy of Middlebury, IN, Alvin Jay and Linda Beechy of LaGrange, IN and Daniel, Jr. and Esther Beechy of Topeka, IN; 106 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Amanda Miller of Shipshewana, IN, Ida Mae and Ervin Bontrager of Shipshewana, IN, and Anna and Mervin Mast of LaGrange, IN; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Harley Miller of Shipshewana, IN and Jerry and Ruby Miller of Shipshewana, IN.

Also preceding her in death were three grandchildren, Dennis Jay Bontrager, Ida Fern Bontrager, and Eileen Beechy, a sister, Wilma Bontrager, and two brothers, Ezra and Vernon Miller.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 9:30 am at the John Miller residence (2500 S – 300 W) LaGrange, IN with Bishop Alvin Mishler and home ministers officiating.

Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in rural LaGrange, IN.
