APPLETON - At Dobbs Ferry, on Sunday, Nov. 30, Malvina W., wife of Daniel S. Appleton, and daughter of the late Charles H. Marshall.

The Appleton Family constructed a large set of under ground burial vaults on conjoined Lots 2744 and 2745; the entrance to which is covered by three feet of earth and sod. The Gothic Revival monument of local brownstone is inscribes with some, but not all of the names of those entombed.
Malvina Appleton was entombed in the family vaults 3 December 1873; her name does not appear on the brownstone monument.
