CECIL R. ALEXANDER, 84, 508 S. 12th, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1989, in a Duncan hospital.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Carter-Smart Funerl Home with the Rev. A.D. Stewart and the Rev. Chester Powell officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery. The family will meet at 807 Cypress.
Mr. Alexander was born Nov. 27, 1905, in Charlie, Texas, in a covered wagon near the Red River on the way from Abilene, Texas to Duncan. A resident of the Duncan area most of his life, he was a farmer and attended school at Baird.
He married Mae Jones in 1938. He married Iza Stoneman on Oct. 23, 1941, in Duncan. She died on Oct. 3, 1985.
Three brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Cotton of Coweta; two step-daughters, JoAnn Lemons of Meridian and Lois Roberts of Oklahoma City; a sister-in-law, Mae Alexander of Duncan; a granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and his ex-wife, Mae of Marlow.
