Doris Ann Shaffer, 75, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at 12:44 p.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Shaffer was a 1956 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. She had worked at Magnetek for more than 30 years and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
She was born April 23, 1938, in Huntington to Julius T. and Leatha S. Kline Karst.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Shaffer, of Huntington; a son, Kevin Shaffer, of Huntington; two brothers, William "Bill" (Lorena) Karst, of Ligonier, and Donald "Donnie" (Deloris) Karst, of Huntington; a sister, Rose (William) Arivett, of Huntington; and a granddaughter, Stephanie (Tony) Jen, of Celebration, FL.
Calling is Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a service following at 3 p.m., at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel. Rev. Sebastian Twinomugabi will officiate.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
