Lorna Charlton, 86, of Lower Browns Creek, went home to be with the Lord on her Birthday, Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Brookside Rehabilitation and Care Center. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Beatty Schofield. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Philip Charlton, who passed away in 1994, and a sister, Eleanor Shutes. Lorna married in Florida, moved to Burnsville in 1970 and was and employee of Blue Bell for 22 years. She was a former member for 30 years at Browns Creek Baptist Church, now a member of West Burnsville Baptist Church. She was an artist who loved to paint. Surviving are her daughter, Michele Presnell and husband, Keith, of Burnsville; son: Michael Phillip Charlton and wife, Shelby, of the Cattail Community; sister, Joyce Kane of Ormond Beach, Florida: six grandchildren: Katheryn Charlton, Laura Joyner, Chris Ledford and husband, Mark, Eric Presnell, Bryan Presnell and Paulette Inscoe and husband, David; eight great grand-children: eli Joyner, Claire and Rory Ledford, Brionnah Presnell, Andrew Presnell, Tyler Presnell, and Brandon, and
Brandon and Michael Inscoe. Several nieces and nephew also survive. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 30th at West Burnsville Baptist Church. Rev. Ricky Ray and Charlie Carroway will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. on
Saturday prior to the service at the church.
