LOWELL - Cathy Lynn Mahoney, 57, of Lowell, went to be with her Lord and savior on Friday (Feb. 20, 2009) at Selby General Hospital.

She was born in Marietta on Aug. 1, 1951, to Ralph R. and Dolores J. Hupp Mahoney. She was a 1969 graduate of Fort Frye High School. She was currently employed at Wark Accounting. Prior to that, she had been the head bookkeeper at the IGA stores in Lowell, Beverly and McConnelsville.

Cathy loved music and was the pianist at Faith Bible Church, Williamstown, where she was a member. She enjoyed traveling, and the biggest loves in her life were her nephew and niece, Joshua and Chloe Stevens.

Cathy is survived by her parents of Lowell; her sister, Alicia Stevens (Darren) of Lowell; Joshua and Chloe; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a memorial service held at 11 a.m. on Monday (Feb. 23, 2009) at the Faith Bible Church in Williamstown with Pastor Tim Lyzenga and Robert Smith officiating. Burial of her ashes will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
