Family service for Bernice M. Fisher, 84, formerly of Davenport, is scheduled Monday, Jan. 27, with interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Davenport.

Mrs. Fisher died Jan. 15, 2014 in Rathdrum, Idaho.

She was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Gary, Indiana to Stanley and Susie Wellence. She married Herman Fisher in Biloxi, Mississippi on July 19, 1949. After he retired from the Air Force, they moved in 1966 to a home north of Davenport, where they lived until their 2011 move to Spokane.

Family members remember her enjoyment of sewing and drawing/art, but noted that "being a mom and grandma was most important to her."

Her husband preceded her in death in April 2012.

She leaves four children, Frank Fisher, his wife Kathy and daughter Juliet, of Seattle; Mary Warwick, her husband Gary Stinnett of Spokane Valley and her sons, Nicholas Warwick of Wenatchee and Anthony Warwick of the Tri-Cities; John Fisher and daughters Danniele, Rochelle and Britney, all of Spokane; Jo Fisher, his wife Kristyne of Rathdrum, Idaho, and children Jairid, Morgan, Shayla and Josie. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Stanley Wellence, Jr.
