Mrs. Louisa DICKEY, of Doans, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Clara) WRIGHT, at Cass last Monday, April 27. She was past ninety-one years old and was the widow of Andrew J. DICKEY, who built and conducted a grist mill at Doans from about 1870 until his death twenty-five years ago.

Mrs. DICKEY was a sister of Charles, Edward and John HASLER and Mrs. Rosanna MULLIS, all lifelong residents of Taylor Township. She was twice married. The first time to a Mr. CRUSH. To this union one son, Arnold CRUSH was born. He died in Montana at a town where his half-brother, John W. DICKEY, located in recent years. The remains of Arnold CRUSH were brought back to Greene County for interment.

Mrs. CRUSH married Andrew DICKEY, and to this union several children were born, and among them were Elza DICKEY, of Dugger; J. W. DICKEY, of Montana; Mrs. Obe (Lillie) PORTER, Mrs. Henry (Cynthia) BUTLER, of Cass; Mrs. Frances BRANNAN and Minnie.

The funeral and interment occurred at Kentucky Ridge in Jackson Township, Wednesday, April 29. The last sad rites were conducted by Rev. Logan HATFIELD.

Mrs. Sherman OSBORN, of Fairplay Township, was a niece of Mrs. DICKEY.

Mrs. DICKEY was a beloved woman and highly respected in the neighborhood of Doans, where she spent most of an honorable and useful life.
