Paul W. Shippey passed away on January 12, 2010 at Good Samaritan Society – Bethany. He was 91 ½ years old. Paul lived in the nursing home for over 10 years. He was born in Tabor, Iowa and went to high school and college there. He was an artist and his paintings are in many homes. Paul and Fern owned and operated a paint and drywall store in Anchorage, Alaska for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Fern. He has 3 children from a previous marriage and one step daughter from Brainerd; 3-step grandchildren, 4-great grandchildren, and 5-great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great great granddaughter Gyneth, who passed away at 7 days old.
He will be missed by his family and many others.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Good Samaritan Society – Bethany, 804 Wright Street in Brainerd with Pastor Barb Christenson officiating.
