Clyde Huber Ijames, Jr. of Union, SC, Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 at his home.

Born in Mocksville, NC, August 8, 1917, he was the son of the late Clyde H. Ijames Sr. and Ruth (Stenhouse) Ijames.

Mr. Ijames was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served in World War II, retired from Milliken & Co. Trucking Division, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Union Elks Club, a member of Grace United Methodist Church, and had been a carrier with The Union Daily Times for a number of years.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Peggy) Walker of Union and Mrs. Bruce (Pat) McDade of Columbia; two brothers, William Ijames of Vista, Calif., and Robert Ijames of Florida; five grandchildren, Terry Walker and wife Laura of Ridge Springs, Robin Walker and wife Meg of Moore, Chris Walker and wife Sandy of Asheville, Dale Farmer and wife Sharon of Burlington, Conn. and Mack McDade and wife, Shelley, of Anderson; a granddaughter, Lisa McDade of Mt. Pleasant; three great-grandchildren, Kelly Walker, Adam Walker and Walker McDade.

Mr. Ijames was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and Grady Farmer and a grandson, David Farmer.

Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Grace United Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The family received friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2005 at the funeral home.

Memorials could be made to the Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 201 S. Church Street, Union, SC 29379.
