She worked at C.F. Hathaway Co. in Waterville as an accountant for many years until she retired. She was a member of Rebekah (Order of Odd Fellows). She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairfield, and was active in the Every Women's Fellowship. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and doing crafts for family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Goodspeed; two brothers, Leonard Leavitt and Robert Leavitt; a brother-in-law, Thomas F. Staples; and sisters-in-law Marjorie Dill, Lois Nichols and Marion Danforth.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Sharon Goodspeed; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Carroll Morrill; a sister, Margaret L. Staples; a brother, William Leavitt; four grandchildren: Ann Cain and her husband, John, Greg Morrill and his wife, Allison, Adam Goodspeed and his wife, Nichole, and Andrew Goodspeed and his wife, Simone; and eight great-grandchildren: Nicole McAllister, Cody McAllister, Cameron McAllister, Maxwell Morrill, Charles Morrill, Bennett Morrill, Samuel Goodspeed and Abigail Goodspeed. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Barbara Leavitt and Elsie Leavitt; brothers-in-law Richard Danforth and his wife, Jackie, and Merrill Danforth; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins; along with many specials friends.
