Mrs. Hawkins was born Lavina Catherine Carver on Nov. 5, 1900, at Logan and was a lifelong resident of the Smith Center area. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church, Smith Center.
Her husband, Wardie, died in 1971.
Survivors include a son, Duane of Smith Center; two daughters, Jean Hawkins and Helen Baetz, both of Smith Center; a sister Zola White of Smith Center; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Simmons Chapel, Smith Center, the Rev. Victor Schwartz officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church.
