Abraham was the great grandson of David Pieterse Schuyler who followed his older brother Philip Pieterse Schuyler to America around 1650 after their father Pieter Tjercks passed away in Amsterdam.

Abraham's age 71 years, 8 months at the time of his death according to the grave stone transcription records. The baptismal records of The New Brunswick First Reformed Church of New Jersey show his birth as April 8, 1741 and his baptism as April 19, 1741.
Besides the three daughters memorialized, Abraham and Aeltje Van Voorhees had a son Abraham who was born May 10th, 1764 and two other daughters, Christina born the 20th of February in 1771 and Neiltje born February 25, 1775. It would appear the men were surrounded.

Edwards (October 5, 1703 – March 22, 1758) was an American revivalist preacher, philosopher, and Congregationalist Protestant theologian. He is widely regarded as one of America's most important and original philosophical theologians.
