Lucius married Mary S. Holland in Boston on June 26, 1865. They settled in New Gloucester where George and Nancy had relocated. In 1870 the household included Lucius's recently widowed mother and Mary's younger sister Martha, who had some type of physical disability. Lucius and Mary lived in New Gloucester most of their married lives, though lived in Wakefield, Massachusetts, after 1900.
The 1900 census said Mary had had three births, with two children living. These were Grace and Julia. Julia married, had a number of children and lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Lucius made a living as a teamster and farmer.
