LOWELL EDGAR ANDREWS SR., 79, 1202 N. 21st, died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996 in Duncan.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Grantham Funeral Home.
Mr. Andrews was born March 22, 1917, in Comanche to Will and Susan (Parker) Andrews. He was raised in the Comanche and Meridian area, and Andrews Road was named after his father.
Mr. Andrews worked for Halliburton for 27 years, from 1941-1968, and started the Cementer magazine for Halliburton. He was also the owner and operator of Photography by Andrews from 1970 to 1986.
Mr. Andrews was a member of the Professional Photographers of America and the First Baptist Church.
He married Bessema Clarice Porter on Aug. 20, 1940, in Duncan. She preceded him in death on Aug. 10, 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita Ridley of Duncan; a son, Lowell E. Andrews Jr. of Columbia S.C.; two brothers, Leo Andrews and Leonard Andrews, both of Duncan; a sister, Joy LaRoche of Duncan; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchldren.
