Louise Goppert

Alliance -- Services are to be held here Wednesday for Louise M. Goppert, 70, of the Blossom Nursing Home, formerly of 136 S. Shady Lane Dr., East Liverpool. Mrs. Goppert died at 12:28 p.m. Saturday at Alliance City Hospital following an extended illness. She was born Feb. 27, 1914, in Wellsville, a daughter of the late Fred Way and Lyda Smith Way. A lifetime East Liverpool area resident, she had moved to Alliance about one year ago. Mrs. Goppert was a member of the Oak Ridge United Presbyterian Church of Wellsville and the Order of Eastern Star in Salineville. She was a past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge of East Liverpool. She is survived by her husband, George Goppert, whom she married Dec. 20, 1933; and one brother, Lester Way of Wellsville. Services are to held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spring Grove Cemetery in East Liverpool by the Rev. Larry Mosiener of the church. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Cassaday and Turkle Funeral Home at 75 S. Union Ave., Alliance. Eastern Star services are to held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
