Services for Birdie Banister, 81, Eddyville, will be at 2pm Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. O.D. Boyd officiating and burial in East End Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4pm Friday at the funeral home.
He died at 2am Wednesday at his son's home.
A native of Lyon County, he was born Jan. 28, 1914, son of the late William and Lizza Jane Banister. He previously was employed by Airco Steel Mill, Calvert City, and also was a farmer. He was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church. His wife, Lottie Arlene Banister, died in 1988. A son, James H. Banister, died in 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony Banister, Lyon County, and J.R. Jimmy Banister, Dycusburg; and 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
