Lewis Marion Dickerson passed away in Weiser, Idaho, Monday, January 29, 2014 at the age of 84. There will a viewing at 1:00pm prior services on Friday January 24th at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Weiser, Idaho. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery. Services under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.

Lewis was born June 22, 1929, to Thomas Cyrus Dickerson and Amy Alena Cary in Weiser, Idaho. He grew up on a ranch two miles east of Weiser on Weiser River Road. Lewis enjoyed playing and working with his younger brother, Thomas Cyrus Dickerson "Tuck". Lewis and Tuck had a close relationship and worked together most of their lives. They had many hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding adventures with their many cousins.

Lewis married Adonna Vivienne Presley on June 8, 1952 in Weiser, Idaho. She was the daughter of William Patrick and Fannie Judd Presley. They made their home on a small farm across from his childhood home. They had been married for over 60 years. They raised two daughters who adored him, April Leanne Williams and Spring "Shelley" Rashelle Keller. Lewis and Vivienne farmed, milked cows, raised chickens, (aka Grandpa and Grandma Chicky), sheep, hogs and cows.

Lewis lived his life's dream of becoming a farmer. He worked on his family's farm. His first paid job was tending chickens and selling eggs. At the age of sixteen he worked on a buck rake, mowed and chopped hay throughout the valley. Other jobs he had were: feeding cows for the Carstein Packing Company, working for the Washington County Road and Bridge and the S & S Land and Cattle Company all while having his own ranch.

Soon after he was married he started his own head of milk cows and feeder cattle. He milked cows most of his life. When he retired, he took care of his two special granddaughters, Bryce and Brooks Boyer. He loved gardening and teaching them all about it. He had a love for the land, his family, neighbors and friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand.

Lewis is survived by his sweetheart, Vivienne Dickerson; brother, Tuck Dickerson; two daughters; April Williams and her husband, Frankie, Spring(Shelley) Keller and her husband, Steve; seven grandchildren, Rashelle, Jennifer and Brandon Williams and Landon, Jared, Jeff and Mark Keller; 18 great-grandchildren: Bryce and Brooks Boyer, Kenzi, Britynn and Halle Seward, Brylee, Carter and Presley Williams, Keller great- grandchildren include: Kendra, Braden and Malek; Leora, Morgan, Parker and Spencer; Joshua, Nathan and Alex; a nephew, Tommy Dickerson; and a niece, Cary and her husband, Bill Pierson.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the administrator and staff of Indian Head Estate for their loving care and support. And for the doctors and nurses who help with his care. Thank you to family and friends who always came to visit. We love and appreciate all.
