BEASLEY, Grover L., Jr., of Orange County, Calif., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 7, 1999 of melanoma. A carpenter by trade, Grover L. Beasley spent his life building for his family, his extended church family and his friends. His building was as much about duty and love as it was about hammer and nails. His remarkable ability to work hard, long hours and his unbending reliability, established him as the one to call in time of need. It can be truly stated by a great number of people that "he was here for all of us at various times, in a myriad of ways". Born in Stuart, Va., 1921, he came to Calif. via the U.S. Marines. He exemplified the best of men America offered, serving in World War II. He returned to Virginia each year, extending his sphere of good works and loyal friendships. He will be missed, but will be building with his Lord. "And the green grass grew all around, all around and the green grass grew all around." Survived by his wife, Virginia; daughters Judy, Jean and Teresa; son Kent; grandchildren, Michelle, Seth, Mark, Jedd, Jordan, Danielle, Jeffrey and Carleigh. Services will be held Friday, June 11, 1999, 1 p.m. Waverley Church. Visitation from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 1999 Fairlawn Mortuary. Interment Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana, Calif.
