Long Time Resident Stricken After
Seven Years of Ill Health

H. Dell Hollister, 65, died Thursday night at his home, 30 Maple Avenue. He had been in ill health for seven years.

Harvey Dell Hollister was born July 16, 1879 in DeRuyter, the son of Harvey David and Martha Thompson Hollister. The family moved to McGraw, and to Cortland when he was nine years old. He had lived here ever since that time, with the exception of three years spent in Olean, N.Y.

Until he retired about 10 years ago, Mr. Hollister was connected with the Cortland Baking Company for many years. He married Miss Cora Armstrong in Olean in 1900, and returned to Cortland shortly after. He was the last of 10 children. Mr. Hollister was a member of Cortland Lodge, 748, B.P.O.E., and the Maccabees.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Dell Hollister of the Cortland Fire Department, and Lawrence S. Hollister.

Private funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 at the late home, 30 Maple Avenue, Rev. Ralph C. Lankler officiating. Burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
