James Bradford McCall, Sr., born January 1, 1933, died on Thursday, January 16, 2014. He was a 1951 graduate of Lanier High School, member of First Baptist Church, Maryville, member of the Blount County Genealogical & Historical Society, and a U.S. Army military police veteran of the Korean War with almost 18 months in Germany. He also worked 40 years as a city letter carrier at the Maryville Post Office, as well as worked the family farm for nearly seven decades.

He was preceded in death by parents Ben Harrison McCall and Isa Porter McCall, brother Dr. Gordon McCall and sister-in-law Judy McCall.

Survived by his wife, Wilma Mynatt McCall; two sons of whom he was very proud, James (Jim) McCall and Paul McCall, and daughter-in-law, Tarra McCall; grand-daughters Aislin and Kimbell McCall; three nieces, Kim McCall and Mark Ellison; Christy and Brian King; Sherri and Andy Self.

Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Kevin Millsaps and Rev. Bill Dixon officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
