Larry D. Marbaugh, 81, of Willshire, OH passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Celina, OH on October 27, 1932 to the late Clifford L. and Mildred L. (Lehman) Marbaugh. On May 9, 1970 he married Nancy J. Christener.

Larry was a member of Praise Pointe Church in Willshire. He worked for Decatur Casting and retired in 1993 after 41 years of service. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Willshire American Legion Post 207.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Nancy J. Marbaugh of Willshire, OH; 2 sons Matt (Deb) Marbaugh of Decatur, IN and Mark (Kristine) Marbaugh of Powell, OH; 3 brothers Bill (Barbara) Marbaugh of Xenia, OH, Tom Marbaugh of Willshire, OH, and Dick (Carolyn) Marbaugh of Decatur, IN; 2 sisters Mary (Leo) Bennett of Preble, IN and Donna J. Peterson of Plainfield, IN; 2 grandchildren Cassie and Alexis Marbaugh; a Marbaugh grandson due in May.

He was also preceded in death by a brother Allen Marbaugh.

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Praise Pointe Church with calling 1 hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Pastor Bradley Kittle and Pastor Mark Rutledge and burial will take place in the Willshire Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 207 Color Guard.
