Mary Jo Osborn, 83, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 in Wichita Falls, TX.
Entombment Saturday, October 3, 2009 in the Crestview Memorial Mausoleum under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Mary Jo was born July 7, 1926 to Joe and Mary E. Harvey Zelisko in Haskell, TX. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park. On December 24, 1949, she and Cleo Arthur Nipper were married. Mr. Nipper preceded her in death on June 30, 1981. Mary Jo then married Clyde Osborn on April 25, 1987 in Iowa Park, TX.
"Granny Jo" as she was known by everyone, opened her home to young people from SAFB, acting as almost a foster home. Mary Jo also greatly believed in education, helping kids with tutoring, financial aid, and encouragement.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Osborn, 5 children, Pat Berry and her husband Dwight of Wichita Falls, Hunter Nipper and wife Denise of San Antonio, TX, Diana Ridenour and husband Dane of Murphy, TX, Mike Nipper and wife Sharon of Belton, TX, Carla Tackett and husband Mike of Decatur, TX, 3 step-children, Michael "Tib" Osborn of Tulsa, OK, Jeanie Bogard of Wichita Falls, and Stephen Osborn and wife Judy of Rowlett, TX, 1 sister, Lucille Roden and husband A.L. of Pampa, TX ; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
