Joseph R. Rondeau Sr., 79, a self-employed electrician for more than 1 8years, died yesterday in the Riverview Nursing Home.
He was the husband of Jeannette (Fontaine) Rondeau.
A lifelong Pawtuxet Valley resident, he was born in Arctic, West Warwick, a son of the late Arthur and Rosanna (Berard) Rondeau.
Before starting his eletrical business, he worked for more than 35 years in maintenance for Gorham's, Providence, retiring in 1966.
He was a member of the Union of Prayer at St. John the Baptist Church, Arctic, and the national and Coventry chapters of the American Association of Retired Persons.
He was a Navy veteran.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, three sons, three brothers, three sisters, 10 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
