Leah June Doty Adams passed into the next life peacefully on January 16, 2014 at the age of 86.
Leah was born June 23, 1928 to Charles Arthur Doty and Loretta Warby in Bountiful, Utah.
She married Von Stanley Adams on October 31, 1945 in the Salt Lake City Temple and were sealed for time and all eternity. Her husband passed away July 27, 2004.
As a young child, she loved to roller skate, read and play with her dolls.
She and her husband moved to Garfield, Utah where she served in the Primary, Sunday School and Brownie Scouts. She also had a morning paper route.
They moved to Kearns, Utah in October 1955. She served in the Primary and Young Women as a teacher and secretary. She also served as captain of the Kearns Camp for the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She helped to support her family while working as a bookkeeper for many years.
She loved to read, do needlework, and crochet. She enjoyed making afghans for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family cherished the needlework that she gave as gifts.
Leah's family would say, "Uh-oh Here comes Grandma and her camera." She was always taking pictures to record her memories. She kept a written and photo record of each member of her family. Doing genealogy work was a great joy in her life and she spent countless hours researching names.
Leah and Von loved to travel with their children and visited many locations from coast to coast. Later, after retiring, they spent 11 winters in Quartzsite, Arizona.
Leah is survived by her children, Sherrie Ann (Danny) Loertscher, Stanley Ray (Irene) Adams, Connie (Lynn) Bertoch. 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren and Sister Nola Buttars.
Proceeded in death by her husband, parents, brother Alden and great-grandson Caleb Thomas Ford.
As her family we were blessed to have her as a mother and grandmother. We are grateful for her love and for blessing and enriching our lives.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Warenski Funeral Home Chapel, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah. A visitation was held from 9:00 to 10:00 am prior to services. Interment was at the Scipio Cemetery, Scipio, Utah.
