William, "Bill" Edwardson, 69, of Alpha, died at 5:35 am Friday, 14 Sept 2001 at home. He was born 30 Apr 1932 in Galesburg, the son of Axel and Alta (Means) Edwardson.
Surviving are his fiancee, Gloria Edwardson, Alpha, two daughters, Terri (and Brian) McFarlin, Knoxville, and Linda (and Rick) Thompson, Alpha, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Greg, one sister and one brother.
He was graduated from Galesburg High School in 1950. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving on the USS Coral Sea. He was a licensed plumber for 38 years at Tony's Plumbing and Heating, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Oxford American Legion Post 1197, Hook and Bullet Sportsmen Club, Victoria, and Alpha United Methodist Church.
Cremation rites were accorded. Funeral was in Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Alpha. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of America, Galesburg.
