KAYSVILLE--Sidney G. "Sid" Bass, 93, passed away Monday, October 4, 1993, in Layton.

He was born February 18, 1900, in Lakepoint, Utah, a son of Thomas W. and Sarah Jane Devereaux Bass. He married Edith Marie Bennett March 1, 1924, in Salt Lake City. She passed away October 11, 1984. He had lived most of his life in Kaysville. He had worked for the Bamberger Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Kaysville 1st Ward.

Surviving are one son, Don B. Bass, Omaha, Neb.; one daughter, Bonnie Kment, Kaysville; a granddaughter whom he raised as a daughter, Sandra "Sandi" Bass-Hackney, Kaysville; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Bass; two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 8, 1993, at 11 a.m., at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, with Counselor Wayne R. Bone officiating. Friends may call Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the mortuary, and on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
