Killed By A Horse

Old Settler at Latham is found Dead in Barn by His Son Yesterday Evening.

William Gordon, aged 58, was found dead in his barn yesterday evening by his son, Granville, when the latter returned to his home from school. Mr. Gordon and his son lived on a farm near Latham. Just how he came to his death will probably never be known, as no one was with him at the time of the accident. He had evidently been kicked in the head by a horse near which he was lying when found. His head had been badly bruised by a blow of some kind.

Mr. Gordon was an old settler in the vicinity of Latham and is quite widely known. Two daughters are in Oklahoma, one lives in Latham, a son is in Colorado, and one daughter, Mrs. Charles Shafer, lives about three miles north of Winfield. Mr. and Mrs. Shafer went to Latham last night called there by the sad accident.
