PORTER--March 3rd, 1966, Mrs. Ethel Oliphant Porter, aged 83 years, 2729 Wolfe Street S.W., widow of late Sam Graham Porter, beloved mother of Mrs. J. N. (Dorothy) Stewart, 4516-55th Street, Red Deer and Mr. Robert D. Porter, 2644 Lionel Crescent S.W., passed away suddenly at the Glenmore Auxiliary Hospital. Born at Huntsville, Texas, U.S.A., she came to Calgary with her husband in 1913, moving to Lethbridge in 1918 and returned to Calgary in 1925, residing here since. Mrs. Porter was an active long time member of First Baptist Church and also a member of the Gordon Group of the church. Mrs. Porter is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband November 30th, 1947.
