Anyone who met Retesie remembered her for her kind heart and her one of a kind personality. She loved hard. Once friends with Retesie, you were friends for life and you knew she was always going to be there for you. She was so much fun to be with, had the kindest heart and the greatest laugh. She loved her family so much.

Marguerite "Retesie" Chandler Cook, 66, of Kingstree passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014, in Roper Hospital in Charleston after an illness.

Born February 13, 1947, in Hemingway, SC, she grew up in the Stuckey community. Daughter of Mrs. Sara Cook Chandler and the late Fred Davis "Doc" Chandler.
She was a bookkeeper with Santee Electric Cooperative in Kingstree and retired after 33 years of service.


Surviving are her mother Sara Chandler of Stuckey; son, Chandler "Chad" (Natalie) Frierson of Mt. Pleasant; grandson, Chandler "Chase" Frierson; brother, Davis "Spud" (Yvonne) Chandler of Johnsonville.

She was predeceased in death by her husband Ronald H. Cook.

Funeral services at Indiantown Presbyterian Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery.
