George T. Bedell, one of the oldest native born residents of Mt. Carmel, and one of the most prosperous citizens, died Wednesday night, aged seventy years, two months and eleven days. He was married January 2, 1856 to Miss Eunice Lindsay, of Vincennes, a daughter of a soldier of the Revolutionary war, who with one daughter, Mrs. J. H. Decker, survives him.The funeral will be held this Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock and several relatives from this city will attend.(Vincennes Commercial, August 22nd, 1902, p. 3)
