Kent H. Eanes, 59, of Bloomfield died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he moved to Bloomfield 20 years ago.
Mr. Eanes was an adjunct professor of flute and saxophone at the County College of Morris in Randolph for 10 years.
He was also a professional musician and teacher at the Music House in Parsippany, and was involved with the Woodside School of Music in Park Ridge for 30 years.
Mr. Eanes performed with many prominent orchestras and musicians, including the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra.
As a member of the band "Another Dimension," he recorded an album called "What Must Come" in 1978. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Michele Mazzoni-Eanes; a stepson, Justin Mazzoni; stepdaughters Emily and Abigail Mazzoni; his mother, Helen (nee Hathaway) Eanes; and a sister, Sarah Larsen. He was predeceased by his father Ronald Eanes.
