Bamberg - Nathaniel Walker Rice, Bamberg County farmer, died at 4 a.m. Friday in the Bamberg County Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in South End Cemetery Saturday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. W. F. Baker officiating. Active pallbearers will be Dick Allen, Charles McMillian, H. L. Free Jr., J. Heath Blake, Henry Bamberg III, Jack Zorn, Pedie Hiers and Claude Sanders. Friends may call at the Cooner Funeral Home until the hour of the services. The family is at the residence 111 Felder St. Instead of sending flowers, friends are asked to make a memorial contribution to their favorite charity. Mr. Rice was born in the Springtown community, a son of the late Benjamin Thompson Rice and Elizabeth Walker Rice. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bamberg. Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Nelle Bamberg; a step-son, Benjamin Tillman Felder of Oakland, Calif.; a twin brother, Judge John I. Rice of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Sargent S.
