He was born March 22, 1933, in Erie Township, the son of Vernon and Nina (Finken) Wadsworth. He married Margaret Gobmeier on June 19, 1950, and she preceded him in death Oct. 5, 2005. Galen was a marine contractor.
Surviving are his sons, Calvin (Kay) Wadsworth of Oak Harbor, Jeff (Mary) Wadsworth of Port Clinton, Mark (Kim) Wadsworth of Port Clinton; daughter, Paula (Mike) Mares of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Stephanie, Laura, Trisha, Doug, Damion, Casey, Lacy, Katie, Michael, Derrick; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; son, Greg; and 11 siblings.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Port Clinton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township.
