"John Feutz, a well-known former resident of this place, died December 19, at his home in Alhambra, Calif., aged 77 years. He was a pioneer farmer of Taylor Township, having settled there with his parents when nine years old. He was born in Ohio. The deceased was married three times, and to those unions were born 14 children, seven of which survive the father, who had been a widower for several years. The surviving children are Henry, Charles, Marion, Samuel, Daniel, Rebecca, and Cuddle. Mr. Feutz was a consistent member of the Christian church and was also a Mason. The remains were brought here from California and taken to his old farm homestead on Tuesday, from which place the funeral was held Wednesday at 11 o'clock a.m., conducted by Rev. O'Neal. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery."
