Retha Catherine Laughter, 72, of Route 6 Sugarloaf Road, died Monday, Dec. 7, 1987, in Pardee Hospital. A native of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Erkson and Hester Hutchins Warren. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Charles "Bud" Laughter of Hendersonville; a daughter, Bonnie E. Lyda of Naples; a brother, Woodrow Warren of Hendersonville; a sister, Effie B. Bradshaw of Hendersonville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service wit the Rev. Tommy Marin officiating. Burial will follow in Bald Mountain Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral service. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
