Funeral services for Betty Baird, 73, of Big Sandy were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Croley Chapel.
Burial was at Chilton Cemetery, Big Sandy.
Mrs. Baird died Thursday, November 10, in Tyler.
She was born May 17, 1932 to W. W. and Maggie (Ellis) Elam in Sweetwater, and lived in Big Sandy for 25 years. She was a retired secretary for the UT Medical Hospital social services in Tyler, a member of First Methodist Church in Big Sandy, active in the Rotary Club of Big Sandy, and was a Yamboree volunteer.
She married Johnnie Baird in Big Sandy on January 5, 1985, and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Lawton Carlton of Mauriceville and Charles Carlton of Kingwood; a daughter, Margie Wilding of Alabasas, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers were Ryan Carlton, Travis Carlton, Christopher Carlton, Casey Barrow, Brandon Barrow and James Johnson.
