Farrell Ashton Gilliam was a corporal in the United States Marine Corp.
There will be Full Military Honors, by the United States Marine Corps.Our beloved Farrell was born in Chico, California, to Michael and Lisa Gilliam.

He spent his early years in Chico and later moved to Ridgecrest, graduating from Burroughs High School in 2007. While at Burroughs, he excelled in Jr. ROTC and was Captain of the Rifle Team.

After High School, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, completing two tours of duty. On January 5, 2011, he was wounded, after stepping on an IED, while on a dismounted patrol in the Helmand Provence of Afghanistan. Always a fighter, Farrell faced all of his obstacles head on, managing to overcome every physical challenge that presented itself. Farrell's infectious and unparalleled spirit and will to survive touched innumerable lives.

He was a bright light, a loving son and brother, a brave warrior, and fine Marine. He is and will always be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Temple Beth Israel, 6622 N. Maroa Ave., Fresno, California, on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.
