Of Manassas, VA died on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Halquist In-patient Center (Capital Hospice); loving husband of 40 years to Robin Abbott; loving father of David Jr., Matthew (Loretta) and Emily Abbott; brother of Richard (Norma), Michael (Diane) Abbott; cherished "Poppy" of Emma and Liam Abbott. David worked for a caring and compassionate family, Pete and Joan Duncan of Precision Electric in Lorton, VA. Relatives and friends are invited to David's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Monday, January 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. and where a Funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 14, at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center, rainbowriding.org or P.O. Box 479, Haymarket, VA 20168.
