Funeral for Hugh Gordon Starkweather, a retired golf professional and past club manager of Eugene Country Club, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Peake Memorial Chapel, Milwaukie. He died Monday.
Mr. Starkweather, 67, was born in LaGrande but spent most of his life in Milwaukie. He attended Lincoln and Y.M.C.A. High Schools in Portland and was a graduate of University of Oregon. He had been golf pro at Oswego, The Dalles and Rogue Valley Country Clubs, and won the Teachers Senior PGA Golf Tournament at Clearwater, Fla. He was also past secretary of Senior Pro Golf Association, and a World War II Marine physical training instructor.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Hobart P. Vermilye, Portland. Vault interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
