JOHN DELTON GRECCO, 63, of 2704 Pennsylvania Ave., died Monday at 10:40 a.m. in Weirton General Hospital. He has been hospitalized one week and was in failing health the past year. Mr. Grecco was born Nov. 4, 1906, in Albert, W.Va., son of Mrs. Iva Grecco Corso of Weirton and the late Joseph Grecco. He had resided in Weirton since 1947, coming from Thomas, W.Va. Mr. Grecco was married in 1947 in Oakland, Md., to the former Rose Sagace. He retired in 1958 from the Steel Works Department of the Weirton Steel Division. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, VFW and American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Barbara Ann) Wilcox of Milford, Conn, two stepsons, Larry Gentile of Weirton and James Gentile of Oxen Hill, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Larry Lambruno of Thomas, and two grandchildren. Friends may call today until 9 p.m. at the Schwerha Mortuary. A family rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today. The body will be removed to the Duncan Funeral Home, Thomas, where friends may call Wednesday and Thursday. A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Charles Schneider officiating. Interment will be made in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Thomas.
