Born in Oberlin Oct. 5, 1883, she [graduated from OHS in 1902 and] had been a resident of Gulf Port since 1964, moving from Oberlin. An elder of the Gulf Port Presbyterian Church, she had been a member of the Daughters of American Colonists, the Society of Mayflower Descendants of Florida, and the Order of Eastern Star Pansy Chapter 34 of Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Cora Bassett in 1972.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by the Eastern Star Chapter at the Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst. The Cowling Funeral Home of Oberlin is in charge of arrangements.
