Walter (Nig) Hartsfield, 86 of Rotan died Tuesday evening, May 12, at his home. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14, in the Hobbs Cemetery with Greg Boden officiating. Arrangements were by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mr. Hartsfield was born January 15, 1912 in Fisher County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hartsfield. He married Geraldine Aaron June 30, 1934 in Fisher County. Mr. Heartsfield was a member of the Calvery Baptist Church in Rotan, and was a plumber.
Sevivors include two daughters, Jo Ruth Massey of Abilene and Hallie Mock of Rotan; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Aaron Hartsfield, 4 brothers, Henry Hartsfield, Cecil Hartsfield, Oscar Hartsfield and Tommy Hartsfield; and one son Chester Hartsfied.
