He was born Sept. 6, 1935 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the son of Dale Richard Adams and Elaine Florida Roelle Adams. He was raised in Colorado and graduated from Woodrow Union High School in 1952.
Following high school, he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Following an honorable discharge, he returned to Colorado and began a lifelong career driving truck.
He loved to play cards and enjoyed fishing. Rich has three precious daughters, Diana, Deana and Dinah. In 1974, he met Dixie Anderson, and they were later sealed in the Boise LDS Temple. With Dixie, came her children, Brent, Penny, Wayne, Shanna, Angie and Roy.
Rich is survived by his wife, Dixie; his three daughters; three of Dixie's children; and many, many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his only brother; his infant son, Wilbur; and two of Dixie's children, Penny and Wayne.
A visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S. Lincoln in Jerome. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 E. in Salt Lake City, Utah.
