He was born on December 31, 1928 to Edna (Markle) and Raymond Aldinger. He graduated from West York High School and Lebanon Valley College. Glenn retired as senior vice-president from the John H. Myers Lumber Co. after 51 years of dedicated service.
He served as a part time consultant for the Wholesale Lumber Service, Mt. Joy. Glenn is survived by his wife, Joanna Parlett; sister, Mary Jane Day of York, daughter Beverly Aldinger , sonin-law-Kirk Gibson and granddaughters Kirby, Berkely and Kirah of Lake Oswego, Ore.; step daughter and son-in-law Anna and Larry Bickford and step granddaughters Abigail and Elisa of Stewartstown. Glenn was preceded in death by his first wife, June Athene Boger Aldinger. Glenn was a former director of the Commonwealth Bank.
He served on the Corporate Board of the Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh. Glenn was a past president of the Lafayette Club of York. Recently he has enjoyed membership in the Stewartstown American Legion. He was especially proud of the new building that houses the Mason Dixon Public Library, and of the role he played as a member of the building committee to bring this project to fruition.
