Born July 30, 1943 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Herbert L. and Loretta Jane Starr Beaver. He and his wife, the former Lois J. Metzger, celebrated 42 years of marriage on September 11, 2013.
Richard served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, Muncy, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Whitetails Unlimited and served as a committee member for Hunters Lake Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. Richard was an avid outdoorsman and hunter who also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Brenda L. (Michael) Farrell of Bloomsburg; two sons, Brian R. (Stacie) Beaver of Muncy and Kevin M. Beaver of Muncy; a sister, Loretta J. (Thomas) Parker of Muncy; a brother, Dale L. (Janice) Beaver of Watsontown; and five grandchildren, Jack Farrell, Bella Farrell, Braden Beaver, Caleb Beaver and Cameron Beaver.
